How to pick the Best DSLR Camera Tripod

Published on October th, 2010

if I was to tell you that I could improve your photography by up to ten times then I imagine the first thing that would pop into your head is what is this guy selling and how much is it going to cost me.  Well i’m not selling you a magic formula that will turn you into the next Ansel Adams and it’s certainly not going to cost you the world.

Instead I am going to tell you why you need a tripod and how to look out for a good one.  You may think that tripods are only used by landscape photographers but that simply isn’t true.  Where there are cameras you will find a tripod hiding in the background somewhere.  By using a tripod you can eliminate camera shake, making your images appear 10 times better.

If you’re looking into getting a tripod then carry on reading my tips because I am about to give you tips on how to choose the best tripod that you can afford.

The first tip that I would give you is to never buy a tripod with a plastic head, unless of course that is the only tripod you can afford.  If you can afford to pay a little extra and get a DSLR tripod with a metal head then do so because it will save you money in the long run.

The next tip would be to get a tripod that is light and compact.  Most of us don’t want to carry a tripod around with us especially when they are bulky and get in the way.  Most people will get a tripod like this and never use it because life is much easier without one.  If you feel this would be the case with you then I recommend getting a compact and light dslr tripod.

if your looking for an excellent DSLR Tripod then i highly reccomend the Manfrotto 7302yb
